Beginner Ride # 5
Beginner ride #5 will be at Village Greens Mountain Bike Skills Park (just outside of Cherry Creek State Park). It will be a guided beginner ride through easier trails in the area. We meet at 8:45 AM, and pedal away at 9:00 AM – look for the COMBA banner. Rides will last for 90-120 minutes, weather and group energy permitting. Please encourage those who would benefit to join us!
About the bike park:
The Mountain Bike Skills Course is approximately 2.75 miles in length and provides a single track trail experience. The course contains over 100 obstacles, which vary in difficulty ranging from beginner to black diamond obstacles. Each obstacle in this area has a bypass should the rider choose not to attempt an obstacle. At the north end of the single track are two smaller, more challenging loops: the hill loop and the prairie loop. The hill loop has more steep climbs and even segments of track containing difficult, black diamond, obstacles and no bypasses. Riders are reminded to wear protective gear and to ride within their skill limits. The rider’s approach speed, line and balance will affect their ability to successfully maneuver over the different features. Please review the entry course signs for trail etiquette and trail details.
COMBA hosts a monthly beginner ride, May through September. Check the COMBA calendar www.comba.org/calendar, visit us on Facebook for more details, or email firstname.lastname@example.org with specific questions.
