The Colorado Mountain Bike Association (COMBA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit educational organization whose mission is the development and preservation of great mountain biking experiences in Colorado. We believe outdoor recreation is vital to improving the health, environment and economy of our beloved Centennial State. Started as Trail Conservation Services (TCS) in 1995, COMBA, the local chapter of the International Mountain Bicycling Association, is committed to being an advocacy voice for Colorado mountain bikers, maintaining and building natural surface trails, teaching proper trail use to cyclists, and working in collaboration with land managers to protect the landscapes where we love to play.

With our proximity to Denver, the capitol of Colorado, we are often called upon to speak for mountain bikers at the state level. We have advocated for Federal land protection, the preservation of RTP and GOCO funding, mountain bike access to public lands and National Scenic Trails and the reform of state outdoor recreation liability laws. To further this work we are a founding member of Outdoor Alliance Colorado, a state wide human-powered recreation partnership where we coordinate efforts to protect public lands, waters and snowscapes, and to ensure these places can be experienced in a meaningful and sustainable manner.

COMBA is the adopter of Segment one of the Colorado Trail, partners with the US Forest Service to build and maintain trails and provide volunteer patrollers for the Buffalo Creek Recreation Area in the Pike National Forest, built, maintains and funds the Golden Bike Park in partnership with the City of Golden, Colorado, hosts hundereds of kids and volunteers at our annual Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day and National Trails Day events in cooperation with the City of Lakewood, Colorado, particiaptes in Jefferson County Open Space's volunteer stewardship program and collaborates with Denver Parks and Recreation to bring trails and bike parks into Denver City parks.
